With the slower Android headunits, seeing the vehicle logo as the thing boots up can be nice. Modern processor-based units with quick boot and fast processors don’t suffer from the terrible slow loading of the old-generation Android stereos, so you don’t benefit from the logo.
Eonon Head Unit
While the video is produced by and for the Eonon brand, the procedure to add a logo to the boot screen is very similar to most of the other brands of headunit running Android from the same early generation. Although not all Android headunits have this feature, it may be present in yours, and it just takes a look to find out.
PIN locked
You can see a password entered on the video, but this PIN number is not the same for all manufacturers or models of the Android head unit. We have a long list of possible/probable codes to try if 5678 doesn’t do the trick. See the PIN CODES for an Android Headunit post for the list.
USB TF
Note the TF to USB adaptor showing on the left. It holds the images. If you need a vehicle logo or want a load of them, look here and pick the ones you need for your car.
More Logos
As soon as you get the boot logo showing the correct one on your Android headunit, or maybe it just isn’t possible, check out our logos for the ‘center of the screen as you drive’ posts. We have a range of posts showing various apps to add a logo to the center of an Android headunit screen after it has booted up.
